Cooking with Baba

What a beautiful and eventful weekend!

First it was Kamran's Birthday. We ate a very yummy black forest cake and had great Mexican food from a new restaurant. It was a hit.
We opened presents and all tried the cumquats, very eventful.

Then it was the first morning of Ramadan, with a beautiful spread.

We woke up after a post fajr nap and then went to the San Jose house for an eventful day of cooking!

Baba Premeasured all of the ingredients! We were making Chicken Korma.

1 tsp black zeera
2 tsp ginger garlic
1/2 tsp garam masalala

To add before baking:
1/2 tsp whole peppercorns
cinnamon sticks
bay leaves
3 Tbsp fried onions

Steps:

1. Mix together all masala except for bay leaf, cinnamon, and peppercorn in one cup of yogurt.
2. apply to chicken with hands, place into a baking tray. Cover with foil.

3. Go to Costco!!

4. Come home and sprikle on remaining ingredients. Cilantro optional.
5. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes, check temperature. We took chicken out!
