the beginning

 

It's Friday afternoon and I was just in the city. Learning about the wetland gardens, meandering the once abandoned, now curated pier adjacent areas of china basin. 

I have been meaning to start a blog and this is the perfect time. I love my pictures and I want to put them somewhere. I love to think and I would like to share these thoughts in one place. I find the archive to be an important feature of life -- to find consistency over time. To see evolution of self, both internal and external. 

When asked what this blog should be named, Laura had a lovely idea to call it about[blank]. There is a freedom in the blankness. An opportunity in the void. Something I am much fond of. 

I think this place will be where thoughts are shared. Where photos are collected. I would love to have entries of different people. Archives of notable parties, events, moments in sunshine and rain. Trips to the coast. Memorable conversations. 

I care about memories and I would like to honor the moments of my life deeply. I think it is a practice in finding beauty, finding sacred in the moments of this precious life.
