hump day
Sitting here on a Wednesday full of love once again. Maybe its the fact that I woke up bright an early with a fire in my heart and a drive to help myself in ways I have been putting off for some time. My first obligation is at 5:40pm today. I will not make my freedom my prison.
At 7:30 I left my home to:
Send a letter to ruby in the mail.
Take the bike to the shop. They'll have it back to me tomorrow afternoon, there was a nice long pause in the queue and they can work on it immediately.
Stop by the bakery dip a muffin in a Cappuccino watching the cars pass and the students walking to school.
Make that phone call, set up that appointment. For tomorrow. Phew.
Take many pictures of niche landscape features. touch many leaves. put some in my pocket.
Say good morning to an old woman with a cart walking up the hill. Maybe she got groceries.
Walk to The Park and sit on the tree roots, watching the literal early bird getting the literal worm in the bright green dew covered lawn.
Find a little library with two charged books within. One on Native American patterns and symbols, I hope to incorporate some into my own artwork. One with a giant rainbow heart that reads you can heal your life in all caps. I wanted to leave this one behind but read the whole section of creating new thought patterns and symbols in relation to parts of the body. Fascinating and so 1970s new age. love it.
Pass by cheeseboard and see the old people all in groups talking so joyfully. about their family vacation, or whatever else must be discussed on a monday morning.
Clean my room, nail my rug into the floor. Talk to kiya about how we love to wait for our husbands to return from war (conceptually, in 17 days)
And receive a perfect invitation by char to the hacky sack club. where connie and grey were! I know them.
Then to the herbarium. Where I ran into big James down the slope while i hold a can i usually only consume on the airplane. He was going to egyptology. my last name is akhenaton. his friend is in awe.
Saskia of the herbarium tells me everything. sends me resources. takes me to the back. where i visit salvia apiana. sequoia sempervirens. from the 1800s. 1900s. old big stacks of beautiful records.
Then to the BAMPFA. where I checked my bag. and watched a video of taxidermied animals look at fireworks. fade to black.
Then quilts
Then amazing weaving
And a gift for Amarah and a phone call from mom. She found me a suitor. I want him to be mixed.
Then to the home where I eat avocado toast and egg with minimal clothing. lie down. talk to kamran where we concur this weekend was one of love.
A bus to the building. and a run into to my sweet will. roll up his pocket clay. always a hug with both of my arms over his shoulders.
Now sitting in the yellow room. I am more engaged. more connected than last week. Connection is my anecdote always. I got a good dose of it today. thank god.
Im in love with many at the moment. phew, we are back once again.
